Sorry to hijack this thread but i couldn't figure out where to post it. I have that problem too , it says there is an error in the app store and to check back later.
It works fine on my MBP, as i've bought a couple of things but not on my iMac, can anyone help?
I get the following error when I try to download from the store. I am in Australia.
There was an error in the App Store. Please try again later. (@@errorNum@@)
Ditto ... I get the error, then the App Store freezes up, I have to force quit and when I check back after booting the App Store again there's no indication I even attempted to make a purchase.
I'll wait until Mac OS X 10.6.7 I think ... pursuing this any further could get very frustrating.
Hey, don't be like an Aussie top order batsman and panic.
I had the exact same error from the Aussie store, @@errorNum@@ and all.
Found a tip on another forum that worked, just log out of your Mac account (Apple logo -> Log out) and then log back in. Worked for me, I'm happily blowing all my cash on apps 🙂
I know Apple will get me for this one. But I found this on the internet. It worked without a problem. I will talk to my friend who is an Apple Tech and see if he heard anything about this. But I tried this and it working without a problem.
Found a fix!!!
Closed App Store, Deleted Library/Caches & user/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore, then restarted App Store. Downloaded just fine after!
Thanks this totally worked. Was getting a random error in brackets when trying to download. Deleted cache and it worked perfectly. Don't be affraid to delete cache as it builds a new folder for this when I signed back in.
If that doesnt work. You might have to reinstall it. If not, sign out of the store, close it, restart your computer, open the app store and try to login. I am not sure if your system or hard drive is the issue, but if you have to, go to an Apple Store.
Has anyone had trouble just signing into the App Store? I've had so much trouble just signing in. I can look around the app store, but can't do anything with any of it. UGH! AND I wish I could talk to someone at apple to help with this!!!
