Q: Latest version of Quicktime doesn't work with FCS on Windows 7

When I access a Final Cut Server on Windows 7, with latest version of QuickTime installed, I can't watch proxies with QuickTime. Nothing happens when I attempt to watch it.

Any idea how come?

FCSvr is probably using the ProRes Proxy for that. Check this out, see if it helps.

Thanks for your reply! I have it installed, but still I experience quite a lot of trouble with FCS and Windows 7, especially with viewing proxies. :-/

When you click on the proxy icon for an asset, does the "Search All Jobs" view show a "downloading" message indicating that the proxy is being transferred to your local machine?

Also, what specific software versions (Quicktime and FCS) are you working with?
