PDFs from iTunes u not showing up on iPhone

I have subscribed to some iTunes u courses which contain both videos and PDFs but the PDFs do not seem to be syncing to my iPhone. Any ideas why?

have you installed ibooks on the phone and added the pdf's to Books in itune?

if so then maybe they use some sort of DRM or format not in part of the pdf std. which mean ibooks cant show them

I had already installed iBooks but the books that are in PDF format that go along with the iTunes u courses do not show up there but I did see that I can re download them on my phone and they will appear within iBooks . Is there anyway to automatically sync them without redownloading?

I just tried resyncing several times and it finally worked.
