AppleScript: Connection is invalid?

What does this error message mean? "AppleScript: Connection is invalid".

To explain: I have an AppleScript application that executes a series of commands and then shuts down. One of the commands that it does is copy my Safari bookmarks file into my Dropbox folder. But some times when it does this, I get a "Connection is invalid" error. What does this mean?

iMac Quad Core i5, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

It means the script tried to communicate with an application that stopped running while the script was being executed.

Oh.

Well, I fixed the problem anyway, I told the AppleScript app to duplicate the Safari bookmarks file (into my Dropbox folder) rather than copying it.

Anyone know what the difference between the two is? And why it would fix this problem?

Actually, never mind, sometimes I get the Connection Invalid error even when I use the Duplicate command rather than Copy. 😟

So I'm forced to conclude that there's really no effective difference (for me, anyway) between those two commands.
