'Copy video URL' doesn't work.

I've noticed today, (though I probably noticed before and didn't do anything about it), that the right click options for YouTube videos, 'Copy video URL' and 'Copy video URL at current time' do not copy at all, I can't paste it anywhere because it simply does not copy to the clipboard. I always try it on videos on YouTube.com, not embedded videos. I have emptied Cache, and reset Safari, but to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Marty

They seem only to work if Safari is running in 32 bit mode - the default (and only) mode pre snow leopard - and one that can be chosen by checking the 'open in 32 bit mode' box in the Get Info window for the Safari application.

Select Safari from the applications folder, use File-Get Info (Command I) & you'll see it. Takes effect the next time Safari is opened. 32 bit mode usually means that if plugins crash, they take Safari down with them, rather than just the plugin failing.

I don't know if the 'beta' Flash 10.2 works properly ?

Hi Andy,

Well that worked! Funnily enough, I know certain things don't work in Safari when it's in 64-bit mode - Google Video Chat, Cooliris, etc. But I seemed to completely forget that this morning, plus I was a bit of a rush at the moment I posted, so it just slipped my mind. At least this solved question can be helpful for others, eh? 🙂

Also, I clicked on the link for Flash 10.2, and found Flash Player "Square", which seems to be handling 64-bit support, might check it out.

Thanks for the help.
