Tracks with clips of other songs in them

Just recently I've noticed that a handful (or more) of unrelated mp3s and podcasts have clips of other songs within the song, ranging in length from 10 seconds to 30. However, when I re-import the song (same file), it doesn't have that clip of the other song in it. These aren't iTunes store purchased tracks.

Anyone have the same issue and how can it be fixed?

Sounds like you've had some sort of file system corruption resulting in crosslinked files. Check your hard drive for errors. The usual fix however is to give each file that is sharing a cluster of sectors it's own copy of that cluster so fixing the drive probably won't repair the problem files, but it might let you see which ones need to be tested and replaced.
