i just got an Apple TV and need some advice on my wireless setup. I currently have a linksys WRT160N router which doesn't serve the room the Apple TV is in very well. I'd like to know if getting an Airport Extreme and/or an Airport Express would help extend my range or if the Express is even compatible with my linksys router? I don't want to drop $180 on the extreme if it's not going to help at all. thanks!

    Welcome to the discussions!

If you are trying to connect an AirPort Express or Airport Extreme to a Linksys router and "extend" using wireless only, this is not going to work.

The "extend" feature only works if both your main router and remote router are Apple devices.

A pair of ethernet powerline adapters might be worth a look if you can't pull an ethernet cable from your router to the Apple TV. This type of connection will be faster and more stable than wireless. Linksys has them.
