I have Snow Leopard Server on a dedicated MacMini. I have Snow Leopard on an iMac. These are wired (ethernet). The MacMini has a 1.5 Tb external drive (Backup_A) for TM backups. Initially TM worked OK on the iMac's side. Indeed, it works well when the MacMini server backs up to Backup_A. But now the iMac cannot TM to Backup_A, saying Backup_A is unavailable.

iMac TM Buddy says ...

"Starting standard backup
Attempting to mount network destination using URL: afp://michael@server.local/Backups
NetAuthConnectToServerSync failed with error: 5 for url: afp://michael@server.local/Backups
Backup failed with error: 19"

The permissions on Backup_A are r/w for everyone.

What gives?

Several Models, Mac OS X (10.6.6)
