Installing iTunes + QuickTime on 64-bit Widnows 7

I cannot install onto my computer because when I use the installer, it says "iTunes requires QT; cannot install QT." What do I need to do to install both programs on my computer?

Windows 7, 64-bit

Okay, it's having trouble expanding the QuickTime.msi into the TEMP directory.

Try the *Empty the temp directory and restart* section of the *General installation troubleshooting* section of the following document:

[Trouble installing iTunes or QuickTime for Windows|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1926]

Any better luck after that?

Okay. Rather than letting the installer do the expansion, we'll expand the installer ourselves.

Download and save a fresh copy of the QuickTimeInstaller.exe (installer) file to your desktop.

Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:

http://www.rarlab.com/

Right-click the QuickTimeInstaller.exe and select "Extract to QuickTimeInstaller\". WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "QuickTimeInstaller".

Open that folder and doubleclick on the QuickTime.msi.

Does that install go through?
