Stop animation

Hi. Some of the shopping and other websites I visit contain animation - a picture that changes every few seconds, or a short video that runs. Sometimes this causes web pages to load extremely slowly. Is there a "no animation" setting or something similar that I can set in Safari so that web pages with animation will load with still images, but with animation turned off? Thx
