Option key does not access boot camp startup using apple wireless keyboard

I just purchased an apple wireless keyboard. It works fine with both Mac Snow Leopard (10.6.6) and Windows 7 Professional. What I can't do is get the OS selection window to appear when I reboot. I have no problem accessing this window using a USB keyboard and holding down the option key during and after the reboot chime (as instructed on the FAQ page).

Any help would be appreciated.

I have found that since the wireless keyboard is a bluetooth device, you must first get the keyboard & computer to "wakeup" and "connect" to each other. I have a very similar issue with using my Magic Mouse on the boot selection screen. For the mouse, I found that I need to move it a bit and click the button in order to get the mouse talking to the computer. There is a good chance that if you keep hitting the option key rather than pressing and holding it down that you would have a much better chance at it working.
