JVC ENVERIO GZ-MC500

I have just purchased a JVC JVC ENVERIO GZ-MC500 Camcorder. I don't seem to be able to import any videos. Mac help says that I have to use a fire wire but my camcorder only has a USB port.

Powerbook G4, Mac OS X (10.4.3)

Is that a camcorder or a digital camera? I looked online for JVC GZ-MC500 and I didn't see a camcorder. Also, I've never heard of iMovie using USB for imports, so yes, I think you need a firewire.

You're particular camera writes to it's own hard drive and has no Firewire port-only USB 2.
