4.2.1's lag issue on iPhone 4

Hi there,
I just update to iOS 4.2.1 few days ago, well, the new features were just work fine, but I found a lag problem with my iPhone4, yes, it was LAG!
here are some cases:
1. lag when scrolling(such as in address book or other pages with long contents)
2. lag when opening a folder or closing a folder
3. pressing HOME, the zoom out animation sometimes lag
4. pressing APPs, the zoom in animation maybe lag
5. double pressing HOME, the animation maybe lag,,,,

the issue seems just like a computer in high CPU usage or with low memory, and sometimes it made me a little bit freak out....

after I cleared all the histories and cookies and caches and closed all background APPs, the issue remained,,,

there was no problem when my iPhone 4 was iOS 4.1 and previous versions.
and my iOS 4.2.1 works fine inside the APPs,,,

I wonder if any other users got such lag issue, or it was just something wrong with my iPhone,,,,

please help me, thanks!

The lag occurs on every iPhone 4 running 4.2.1. Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it's not there. Resetting or restoring in whatever way doesn't help.

Flat-out not true. Classic trolling tactic to say that they know what is happening on all 30+ million phones and the vast, vast, vast majority of users are oblivious or ignorant of the problem.

Odd. I've played Angry Bird on 4.2.1 and now 4.3 beta with no lag whatsoever. No lag scrolling contacts. No lag opening folders, double-clicking home button (to Search or recent used bar), etc. etc.

4.2.1 has been out for a while and yet there are only 6 user IDs posting about it in this thread, started 10 days ago, and I can't find any other threads on the topic. Pretty strange for a universal bug affecting ALL iP4s - eh?

@modular747:
Well, if you are unable to use Google to find more threads on this topic then it's absolutely clear that you are unable to comprehend the bug that we are talking about.
Now I don't intend to discuss this issue with you any further and I would suggest that you stop posting to this thread.

@all the rest:
I talked to some other co-workers (all app developers) and one of them told me that this is a known bug confirmed by Apple. But it has a very low priority since it is not a major problem that affects the usability. He does not know if this will get fixed with iOS 4.3.

Yet another troll tactic to tell anyone refuting their undocumented claims to leave the thread. You have no say who posts here, and i have no interest whether you respond.

I follow the 4.3 beta Dev forums and this is not a topic being discussed there. Instead of vague, claims about what anonymous "colleagues" said, why don't you post the Apple bug report number, attached to all bugs under investigation.

While you're at it, why don't you post a link to another significant thread in this or any other forum on the topic, instead of lame, a-h remarks.

please people have been talking about the lag on the new ios since it came out..

some updates have made it better for some. some have made it worst

but there is indeed lag and stuttering on the ios.

download the app idygest and flick the screen slightly so it scrolls across the screen..

IT WILL studder and not do it smoothly.

there are tons of differnt times u will see this and can recreate this un smooth ugly transitions..
