mute button gone crazy !

HI,
Something very odd is happening: when I set a project to play, the mute button keeps coming on in multiple tracks. I've been using it regularly so I can work on single tracks, but don't understand when I've then unmuted the tracks, why it keeps coming on again - seemingly at random.

Even when I then unclick it, a few bars later, it is on again.

Sorry, but I don't understand .... I have volume automation on, but nothing else.

What about region automation... Select a region on the track that is being muted - a region that would be playing when the mute happens - open the event list. If there are mutes you should see them in the list.

And just to make sure... don't be offended... but are you aware that you can click on the 'volume' label when looking at track automation and select from different parameters that might also be automated? They are listed in bold at the bottom of the pop up menu.

Try turning of your keyboard or other control surface to see if it is malfunctioning.

I've checked out what you suggested but am still none the wiser. 'Mutes' are not mentioned in the Event lists. And Mute is not automated in the parameters of the automation menu.

Sometimes, the yellow Solo knob also comes on.

It says the image is private.

What about the possibility of your controller sending errant messages?

I've made it public. I think this problem is connected with the freeze button as I've used it formthe first time in this project, and I've never had the problem before.

My master keyboard is turned off.

Looky here:

see how it says "mute" in bold under volume? So select that and go (local arrange menu)Track>Track Automation>Delete Visible Automation on selected track.

Thanks a lot, Seeren. With your help, I've now solved this. I still don't know how this Mute parameter became active .... so I suppose this could happen again .... but at least I know what to do to clear it now.
