Plugging in my MacBook to charge in France

I'll be studying in France for a semester and will be bringing my MacBook with me. I realize Apple makes the World Travel Adapter kit, but is that all I need if I'll be charging my MacBook for a good 5 months in foreign outlets? In other words, is it enough just to have the plug adapters or should I also invest in a voltage converter from someplace like Brookstone? I'd also probably be plugging my iPod into my MacBook via USB to charge (I don't know if this changes anything power-wise).

Hi mpalmer and welcome to Apple Discussions!

The World Travel Adapter kit is probably overkill for what you need. Assuming you are using the power adapter that came with your MacBook, you only really need a plug adapter for the European power sockets. I've seen these in hardware and electronics stores for just a few dollars. I purchased one last year and used it in Holland, Norway and Israel without any problems.

Have a great semester!
