Please Help!! iCal is sending every alarm email everytime I start the Mac!

Everytime I start up my computer (not even open iCal) either from sleep or from ShutDown iCal sens every alarm email, which takes ages and fills our mail apps with emails. I have deleted iCal prefs but no change... Any clues, anyone had the same??

15" MacBook Pro 2.4GHz Intel Core2 Duo, Mac OS X (10.6.5)
