Air Display and screen resolution

Hi everyone,

I have started using the iPad and Air Display so it is a second monitor for my 24" iMac. I am using it to put all of the tool palettes on when using programs like Illustrator.

Is there any way I can make the resolution on the iPad screen less, so that the palettes are bigger on the screen?

They come up much smaller than they did on the iMac so getting something closer in size would be very helpful.

Thanks 🙂

I used the help center link (read bit at the end)

Display resolution determines the size of text and objects on your screen.

By default, the resolution on your display is set to show the sharpest text and the most detailed images. You can adjust (or scale) the resolution to make text and objects appear larger on your screen, or adjust it so you have more space on your screen. When you scale the resolution to provide more space, text and objects appear smaller.

Open Displays preferences

  • Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Displays.
  • Click Display, click Scaled, then select a resolution.
Some apps may not fit entirely on the screen in some scaled resolutions. Using a scaled resolution may affect performance.

You can connect a second display and adjust its resolution. Once it’s connected, click Scaled, then select a resolution. Press the Option key while you click Scaled to see additional resolutions for the second display.
