YouTube error message-won't play movie

YouTube error message-won't play movie

When trying to play SOME YouTube movies, I get an error message that says: "an error occurred, please try again later" (it never plays 'later'). I checked the finder-windows-activity pane as ordered and found 6 of around twenty lines that had red "forbidden" .

What gives?

intel iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.6), 500 gig HD, 4 gig RAM, superdrive

Hi,

Follow the instructions here for troubleshooting Flash which is required for most YouTube content.

Click here: http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/

Then click: Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS

Hi Carolyn, I did what you asked, but see nothing that relates to this problem!

I also have a MacBook laptop and an iPad, both of which play this same YouTube movie perfectly!!
Could it have anything to do with 64/32 bit??

Hi,

Login to another user account. Try that video on Safari there.

I'm not sure if it's a 64/32 issue or not. I run Safari in 64 all the time without any problems with YouTube / Flash plugins

Carolyn, I tried playing the YouTube movie logged into my guest account and it worked perfectly.
Logged into my account, I noticed that the movie opened full screen (although it wouldn't play); whereas in the guest account version it opened within the YouTube site. I don't know if that is any help or not.

Now what?
