frozen screen - black with apple logo

The same thing is happening to my iphone did you ever get this resolved?

bump, same problem, just randomly has faulted and gone to a black screening continuously showing the apple logo fading in and out.

I have the same problem. Does anyone have a response to this?

Try this. Hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time, about 10 seconds. This is a hard reset of IPhone. The home button is the round one under your screen. The sleep-button is the small metallic button on the top of the phone to the right. Wait 20 seconds and press the sleep-button to restart your phone as usual. It will take a while until it starts up. Hope this will do.

Having the same problem. In addition, the battery level does funny things. At one point, my battery showed around 50% level. I plugged it in, and the percentage immediately jumped to 70%. Odd.

If I hold the power button, it will sometimes reset. It doesn't necessarily turn off, but will flash the home screen, go dark, and then when I hit the home button again it shows the home screen.

The other way that I have found to unfreeze it is to simply plug it in. Fortunately, I'll be ready to upgrade soon...maybe iPhone 5 will be out.
