Audio Booster

I am helping a friend with a rehearsal dinner video. I imported an 8mm clip into iMovie6HD. The audio on the original tape is low and I have increased it to the maximum 150% in iMovie.

Does anyone know of a free or inexpensive audio booster download that could possibly help increase the volume level more??

Thank you!!

You could extract the already increased audio from the clip and then increase that separate audio track by another 150%

Hi

As Geoff Kirkland - writes - but some more info.

a. Select the video-clip that need amplified audio
b. Extract Audio
c. Select first video-clip and restore audio to 150% (it has not been extracted - just copied and MUTED so original is OK)
d. Amplifie the extracted Audio-clip to 150%

Now You got 300% amplification

Need more ? If so
1. Select the new Audio-clip
2. Copy it {cmd-C}
3. Paste it

YES - Audio Clips can be stacked ontop of each other on THE SAME Audio Track

Now You got 450% - Paste even more till speakers Popps !

alt. route
I Select video-clip
II Export out as QuickTime and as Audio only .aiff
III Use an Audio editor as Audacity (free on the net) and amplify as much as You like
IV Import this into Your iMovie project and possition it under the Video-clip.
