Yes, when an Invite is sent to you, you can Accept, Decline or Tentative. When creating a meeting, there's a field to add Invitees from your Contacts.

I do not have that option.

In the Add Event screen, you don't have Invitees between Repeat and Alert? If not, do you have any Contacts on your iPhone?

I too am missing the Invitees and Status fields in the Add Event section. My calendar is synced to iCal on my Macbook. Please assist as I would like to have these options!

Did you ever find a solution to not being able to invite attendees? I have the same problem - can't even see the invitees option..

    This is so strange.

I have two invitations from the same person (on Outlook) on the same day for two separate events.
One has "Accept/decline" underneath it it-great.
The other, doesn't have any options under it!???

    Im on MobileMe.

How can this be-anyone can figure it out?

I used to have the "Invitee" field in the event creation window and have used it. Today, while creating an event, I noticed that the Invitee field is not even in the window. Strangely, the invitee field is in an event that I had created about a month ago. In the manual it says that one can add invitees "if supported by your calendar server".

If that is the case, where is the calendar server located? At Apple? Or at the mobile phone carrier (i.e., Verizon in my case). Or is this a case of Apple removing functionality?

you can see invite tab if you configured a Hotmail account.

I realize this thread is kind of old, but I came across it a few times trying to solve the same problem with my phone. Now that I have mine fixed, I thought I would post how I got it to work out.

My problem was that I have multiple calender defaults, my Mac (bought in 09) and my icloud. I don't think my Mac and icloud accounts merge properly because I don't have my Mac updated to run icloud...anyway...

The way I fixed it was:

Scroll down and you should see a section subtitled "Calendars". Find the "Default Calendar" option, and, for my case, I WAS set on My Mac>>Home and CHANGED it to iCloud>>Home.

Hope this works for you. I know it's frustrating; definitely was for me, especially when I try to send invites to my husband so he won't forget things. Now everything works properly.

    This helped me as well!

I switched it to my Work Calendar on iCloud and the "Invitees" option is now there.  If I could just get my iCloud to work I would be all set!! haha

    Very helpful...Thank you!!!!

    Hi Friend,

Your event must be sync with some iCloud Calendars.

Create an event. Then tap the event in Calendars. Then tap Edit, then tap Invitees to select people from contacts.
