Remove item in menu bar

Hi Guys

I really need help removing an item from my menu bar. It appeared today after I restarted my mac after my intego anti virus did an update. It is along the right hand side of the bar, near the time etc. and it looks like it is telling me what my speeds are when I go on the web. When I'm not on the web none of the numbers move it just has a Red 0B/s at the top and directly underneath there is a Green 0B/s with little arrows beside both. I'm sorry if I am giving a crap explanation of what it looks like but I haven't figured out how to put an image up on this forum yet.

I tried to command click and drag it out of the bar but it won't move, even when I click on it, it won't display any information about itself or anything. I tried looking at disk activity but could see anything out of the ordinary there. One thing that I am just after noticing while I write this is that my little Irish flag that use to be in the bar is gone I don't know if that is related to this or not, what I do know is that I never removed the flag and I didn't put this new icon up. I'm sorry if I didn't explain this to well but if you can make sense of anything I've posted here and can help in any way I would really appreciate it.

Thanks everyone.
