I would only get disks rated for video or server use, and from the big reliable brands. -

David, do you have a preference if you were in the situation? My manager now told me just to give him the name and numbers (cost) and he would try to get it ordered since I demonstrated the severity of the storage situation, or lack of, that we have right now. -

I don't really have a preference on the enclosure, I've used one from each of the manufacturers I linkled above. But I do agree with John that you should populate the enclosure with server/enterprise class drives. I usually use these: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Hitachi/0A39289/
