Apple TV to work with Belkin Router

My Apple TV will not detect my computer, seems to be a problem with the Belkin router. My computer is connected to my router with an ethernet cable and the apple Tv connected wirelessly, for some reason doesnt like this. Anyone have a solution for me?

PC, Windows Vista

Some Belkin routers don't work with Bonjour - which Apple use to underpin Home Sharing.

Until yesterday I had the same problem. My macbook wouldn't see my ATV2, and my iPhone & iPad couldn't see them either - even though they all connect to the internet fine.

Fortunately, yesterday Belkin released a firmware update for my router (A FD74401uk Play Max n600). I installed it, and everything works fine.

Hopefully there's a firmware update already available for your router - if not, contact Belkin support

Yes I have turned on home sharing on both. I don't really want to get another wireless account on top of my adsl account. Do I buy an ethernet cable for the apple tv?

Not sure I understand you.
You're internet comes into you're house via ADSL, and connects to your Belkin router.
The Belkin router then serves the wired or wireless network to the devices in your house.
Those devices can be the AppleTV and the PC.... there is no need for any additional account on top of your adsl account.
