Some text message dont come through depending on teh sender text used.

I am helping to try to track down a problem we have with some text messages not going through to our phones. If we use the sender text "LG" the message will not come through to my iphone but it goes to my mates Nokia. If we use "TB" then I get the txt but the sender is changed to "T". What is going on? why is the iphone messing about with the sender text?

Phone on the Telia network in Denmark - am pretty sure its nothing to do with the provider as its not just me with this issue.
