Trouble with changing partition scheme, please help!

I'm trying to upgrade to Snow Leopard, but apparently I cannot do this until I change the partition scheme on my hard drive to GUID. I've backed everything up, so I'm not worried about losing data, but I can't seem to find the right tab in Utilities to allow me to change the partition scheme. It's not allowing me to change scheme or erase. Any ideas?
