Many thanks for this. This has been a very long term goal over here and I am just in the process of trying to make sure things are organized as I try and finalize it. I guess I have four goals 1. get everything to my iPhone conveniently 2. make everything available for email autocomplete 3. make everything available for printing mailing lists 4. keep it all easily updated.
Do you happen to know if there are any subleties or issues with keeping the contacts /organized/ when migrating in this manner? For instance I currently have about forty various folders with contacts (these folders are divided up into design, construction, professional, technical etc etc) that I would like to get to my iPhone for instance.
I have my various "manually entered" iPhone contacts which seem like they will remain segregated by themselves (this is fine. actually it is quite nice) under the "On My iPhone" section of the "Contacts" App on the iPhone.
So mostly I want to make sure I can keep whatever organization I end up with in CardScan "downstream".
Also, I still am having a bit of a struggle in figuring out how to (or whether to) get my Email Contacts synced up in some way with my CardScan Contacts (business cards).
Right now I am wavering back and forth between Mac Mail and Postbox (a new mac mail app) but I can't seem to nail down if there is a good methodology for getting the business cards and the email data "mated" up. In some cases I'll want to print out mailing lists, email lists, export them to Constant Contacts etc and I can't seem to figure out how to get everything synced up.
I realize that is a long list but to the extent that you can offer advice or experience I would be grateful.
