New iPod Shuffle Won't Install VoiceOver Kit

Hi all! Just got a new iPod Shuffle today. Tried to set it up, and hit a major snag. It won't install the VoiceOver Kit for some reason.

I go to download it, and it just sits there for a while. Then I get an error 1701. I have the newest version of iTunes, and Mac OS version 10.6.6.

This is very frustrating. I even tried restoring my Ipod. Can anyone help?

Figured it out. If this happens to you. Delete the VoiceOver File. It's in the library folder. Then reset your iPod Shuffle to factory. Then redownload the voiceover file. The file is about 32 MBs, but can take a while to download depending on your connection speed. You should be good to go. Thanks.

Hello, i have the same problem, i just brought a ipod shuffle third generation and i can't install voice over, i have the (1701) error, but i can't find the voiceover file, where is stored exactly?
It's kinda lame because i got a "backup" windows laptop (an eee pc) and it works there... :((

hey i have a ipod 4th gen....2bg....v 1.0.1....my voiceover is not gettin installed...its shows itunes was unable to install voiceover kit. an unknown error occurred (0x80080015)....i am using windows 7...itunes 10.5...plz help

The above mentioned fix worked for me too. Thanks!

(Go to C: Find the iPodVoiceOver.dll file and move that to C:/Program Files/ Itunes. Then in iTunes check the boxes again and Voice Over will install on the ipod fine this time around, and the boxes will also stay checked).
