Q: Waveburner won't open tracks not in their original location?

I'm using Waveburner 1.6 and I've just tried to open a session from last year. However, Waveburner can't find the tracks that make up the session as they have been moved to an external disk. It tries to replace them with seemingly random files (that are not even .wav or .aiff files). On trying some other sessions it seems to find the files but I have to approve them one by one, despite ticking the 'look in the same location for subsequent files' box (I'm not sure about the name - I don't have it right in front of me but you get the idea).

There is no browse function so I can't manually select the files. I would have thought it would be possible via spotlight for Waveburner to find them itself (based on name & length/filesize) but no - I have now lost these sessions and have to construct them again from scratch.

To have software that functions in this way as part of a 'professional' software suite is surely a joke.

Has anyone found a way around this?

Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
