Dock sticks to left side of screen

Hi everyone
well in the middle of copying 100GB of data the finder crashed and so I held the power button of my macbook pro in order to reboot but when it came back to the OS again , the dock stuck to left side of the screen
In order to inform you I have already tried killall dock and ... so if there is somebody out there who can upload the Dock application located in HD/SYSTEM/LIBRARY/CORESERVICES I will be really thankful of him or her and also I think it can help many others with the similar problems
Thank you.

MacBook Pro 17'' core i5 (mc024), Mac OS X (10.6.4)

You don't need to replace your Dock application, and you certainly should NEVER install something like that sent to you from some unknown stranger online! If it actually were necessary to replace the Dock application, you could do that from your install disks with the assistance of [Pacifist|http://www.charlessoft.com>... but again, that is not necessary here.

Sounds like your Dock preferences got damaged somehow. Try just changing the position back to what you expect (bottom or right) using System Preferences -> Dock. If that doesn't help, you'll want to delete ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Dock.plist (where '~' means "your home folder"), then log out and log back in.
