Windows Live MSN??

is there a Windows Live MSN for Mac OSX that is equivalent or same as the Windows version?? I have just switched from a PC to a MAC and would really like to use something similar to what I was using?

I have tried searching on google and downloaded this one http://www.microsoft.com/mac/messenger
but its not as good as MSN Live that I was using with windows.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Many thanks...

Sorry but if your talking about the Windows Live features such as Photo Gallery and Move Maker etc., your out of luck. Microsoft does not make these available to Mac users.

As for MSN Messenger, what you have downloaded is the latest version available for Mac. I didn't think it was too different from the PC counterpart, but it may take you a little while to get use to.

As you have just switched to Mac from Windows, make sure to check out Office for Mac 2011 which is available for purchase if you need Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

Also you should also download this free plugin Flip4Mac at:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/windows-media-player/wmcompo nents

This will allow you play windows media files through Apple's Quicktime player which is already pre-installed on your Mac. So you have a video you would like to watch that is wmv specific, this plugin will allow you to play it with quicktime.

Yes it is not too different but noticed that there isn't a button to send a nudge to someone? Or am I missing it somewhere?

Also how do you share photos like how you would on the windows live version?

Are there any better equivalent msn versions out there for the mac?

The latest version of windows messenger 4 mac got video call and couple of other things. Before that it was so basic nobody was recommending it. So I was using Adium.Adium is a free instant messaging application for Mac OS X that can connect to AIM, MSN, Jabber, Yahoo, and more. It was really good replacement.Got new messenger now but still using Adium.

Does being able to play windows media files mean that MAC OS X will be susceptible to PC viruses?
