safari launches program unexpectedly

safari launches program unexpectedly

i have had this website (http://boston.cbslocal.com/) a bookmark for months. But just a day ago, when clicking on the bookmark, ICA CLIENT launches. I established a new user and googled the website and still the same problem........this never happened before..help........

We're not staff, but other Mac users here, asking questions and sharing solutions.

I would ditch the cookies for cbs.
Go here:
Safari Preferences (In Safari main menu, top left).
Open Prefs and go to Security. On that pane, click "Show Cookies."
The type in cbs in the info bar.
Delete all cookies that show up.
RESTART Safari. Any better?

Hi,

Check for Login Items.

Open System Preferences/Accounts then select the Login Items tab. Delete any files or apps you have listed there. And go to /Library/Startup Items. Move any files in the Startup Items folder to the Trash.

Restart your Mac.

It could be a file that is associated with: ICA CLIENT

i did that, but it didnt help......the error is from the ICA Client Error number 11

Hi,

If the same thing happens in two different user accounts, run Disk Utility to rule out problems with the startup disk, instructions here.

No problem...

Maybe it's the Bookmark. Can you delete the Bookmark to see if it makes a difference?

Do you have it Bookmarked in both user accounts?

I just deleted the bookmark, restarted my computer.....did the same with a new user, but geeezzzzz same thing

Did you check the links I posted?

Also, open a Finder window. Type in Cintrix, see if anything turns up. And try ICA CLIENT also.

i do have mac os 10.5.8...and safari 5.0.3...i dont have a problem with the pages

I did the Finder for Citrix and Ica Client....there is a folder for Citrix and Ica Client is in it.
Note..the Citrix is needed for me to access work.

Like I said earlier, everyhing was working just fine (safari..citrix..and even that website that I've indicated)
..and yes I did look at sites you sent.
