Q: Asset Failing to Scan

I have created a device called SortedMediaProjects that houses several complete Final Cut Pro projects that appear to be successfully Full scanned on an SMB/CIFS partition automatically mounted by the operating system at boot at /Volumes/MediaServer1/SortedMediaProjects -- so reads like it is mounted locally.

Then, we manually copied a ProjectXYZ project folder into SortedMediaProjects. Neither the Full scan nor the Add scan have added those assets and I don't see any sort of failure.

Also, if I upload a project as a bundle, I thought the files would eventually scan and show as individual assets as well, but so far that hasn't happened either.

Am I doing something particularly wrong? Are my assumptions incorrect about what should happen?

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.5.8), Final Cut Server

Add scan won't pick them up because the file modification times haven't changed.

Full scan should work. Make sure you're going down far enough recursively.
You're not seeing any unusual messages for the scan in the Administration log?

You can upload as a bundle or as assets, not both.

Since a new directory/folder was being moved onto the device, I thought the add might pick up; however, the Full isn't either. Recursion is set to 0.

I have set a manual to kick off at 12:01 PM today.

My idea was to upload as a bundle, but then scan the device to pick up the asset files.
