Converting windows DLL to use with x=excel for mac for an execl addin.

I have a DLL file that I have used with a windows addin for excel. I would like to use it with the mac pro and excel for mac. Where would I put the dll?

mackbook pro, Mac OS X (10.6.6)

.dll files are dynamic-link library files and are Windows application extensions. They have no function on Mac OS X. The Mac equivalent of .dll files - shared libraries of programming code - are invisible and off limits.

What does your .dll file do?

As FormerPCer said, an Excel add-in for Windows cannot be used in the Mac version of Excel. You will need to find out if the maker of that add-in offers it in a Mac version, or if someone else makes an add-in with similar functionality that does work on a Mac.
