iBooks: Books not showing up in app

I have downloaded several free iBooks from my itouch. For a short period the icons for the books showed up in bookcase, but then disappeared. They are still showing up in the Books library of the itunes software on my computer, but not in my itouch.

Does anybody know how to fix this situation?
