In addition to Carolyn's excellent advice, I saw a user review which said that it does not appear to work with a trackpad and s/he could only get it to work with a mouse. So you might want to try using a mouse to see if that was correct.

Probably stating the obvious, but in the game, the cursor is a big white cartoon hand with a pointing finger.

I assume its that hand that your not seeing.

Did you ever get a reply that works? The game works fine since a single finger stroke anywhere on the pad can launch the birds (and a 2-finger swipe allows me to zoom out to see the whole field of play, which I'm not sure if some players can do), but I need the cursor to click on the treasure chest in Level 1-8 to get a Golden Egg! I don't have a mouse--haven't used one in eight years or so--and I don't feel like buying one just for that, so I'd prefer some other solution. I've written to Rovio, but no reply yet.

Thank you!!!!!! That one has been bugging me for a while now.

same thing happened to me.

the fix:

cmd + F (this takes you out of fullscreen)

and the cursor appears!
