Red Alert 1 on a Mac

Hi

I want to play the old game called Red Alert 1. I have heard that it is a fantastic game. But i got some questions about it:

1. Is Red Alert free? Where can i get it legally?

2. Is there any way i can make it run on my Mac without installing Windows?

Hi,

Go to the website from the developer of Red Alert 1 and find out "system requirements etc ..."

If you don't know the website for it, just Goggle for it.

EA have made it free and it can be found here but it will supposedly only run on Windows XP with some OS modifications that they detail (it was originally released for DOS and Windows 95). VirtualBox is a free VM you can use if you don't have Parallels or the VMWare one. You'll still need a working copy of XP though.

I need Windows 95 or 98. Can i run the game with wine or something without installing Windows?

I have installed Winebottler but when i try to run the installer it says: http://i53.tinypic.com/2hek4eg.png

Is there a way i can make WineBottler "run" Windows 95?
