Hi,

I haven't seen a Mac App Store app for that but you can use QuickTime 10.0 for screen recording.

Check your Applications folder for QuickTime 10.0 as it may already be installed. The icon looks like this. User uploaded file

You may also have QuickTime 7 installed but that's for the player, not for recording.

Launch QuickTime 10. From the menu bar click File / New Screen Recording

No, What I mean is that if I create a new folder on my desktop. That folder just looks like a normal folder, you can change the colors and all but what I was wondering was that if there is anyway to change the folder into an icon or browse for a picture. Basically I want to create a folder and make it look like my companies logo instead of a folder. Is that possible?

Go to the folder in Finder and Cmd-Click or Right-Click on the folder and select Get Info from the menu provided.

At the top of the Get Info window, you will see a little picture of a folder and the name of it next to it.
Drag any picture on to the folder and a green + will appear, and drop the photo there.

Now the folder icon is replaced with the picture you dropped.

It will not work if you drop the picture down further in the preview area.

The built-in QuickTime Player bundled with the latest version of OS X can record desktop videos is a nice free option. File>New Screen Recording. It does depends on how much detail you want to show. And Screenflow is nice screen recording app that it allows you to zoom in on the screen after the recording for details without losing resolution. Many of the other options out there lock in the resolution at capture. But it's a little bit expensive, cost $99. I always use acethinker screen grabber for mac, only $29. It's a good alternative to Screenflow. And here is a youtube guide about how to use it.
