HDD led light stop working

Hi,

I upgraded the HDD to a WD5000BEVT 500 GB in my Macbook (Late 2008) last weekend. Since then the HDD Led light (white tinny light on the front) stopped working. Any idea why?

So, when you put the MacBook to sleep, the light doesn't pulse?

That's right. The light has stopped blinking when there's activity on the HDD.

I'm sorry Jay, I misunderstood your question. Yes, the white tinny light pulse when I put the macbook in sleep mode. It's the the other one next to this one, the ticker one for the HDD that's not working anymore.

Yes, you figured it out--Macs don't have a HD activity light!
