Hi Jean1005: The negative number indicates that your battery is discharging. This is perfectly normal if you are running on battery.

Hope this helps

I am seeing a negative amperage on my battery when I am plugged into the power adapter. Green light on, full charge showing. Here's my current system profiler stats:

This MBP is a refurb 15" i5, exactly 2 days old. It seems to me that I shouldn't have a negative amperage if I am running off the power adapter.

and the battery isn't charging, it's showing the green light. I doubt this is not the way it was supposed to be. what can be the possible reason?

Why my battery Amperage show a negative value?
