region problems

ipad was not launched in south africa but i bought one in bangkok for myself. i made the region also south africa on the ipad and itunes when downloading. however certain apps do not want to download into itunes as its not availble on itunes south africa, it asks to change stores, which i do and it still does not work. i have also downloaded some free apps into itunes, but it does not want to transfer to the ipad. i have tried clicking and dragging to no avail.
should i change the account/region to US?

so does that mean even if i change my region it won't kid "them", "they'll" know i am in SA and not allow me access. this is so lame because the free apps i downloaded i cannot get onto my ipad, even the facebook app. so bit scared to buy any apps in case it does not want to go onto ipad, but gets loaded into itunes.

i have the kindle app on my ipad. do u perhaps know if that will work if i buy books through there? how do i do it, do i buy straight from kindle on the ipad, or first onto my pc, then into itunes and then onto the ipad?

It can detect what country you are connecting from so trying to change your country won't work - and you'd be breaking the terms of the store which you'd agreed to.

In terms of Kindle, that is made by Amazon, so purchases are via the Amazon website (either directly, or via the app whichnthen takes to their website). Books are then synced via wifi into the app (you 'register' the iPad to your Amazon account, which can be done in the app, before you can get your books into it). There should be help on the Amazon website about Kindle and ebooks in general, as well as about the Kindle App.

thanks for the help, i see now that here in south africa its better to buy from Amazon on the ipad, as it gets downloaded straight onto the ipad.

another question: i have downloaded a few free apps into itunes on my home pc (latest version downloaded from istore), but it does not want to transfer to the ipad, via clicking abd dragging, any other ideas?
