yes, it probably is too old or too slow but that is no reason for the constant stalls everybody gets.
so far there is no answer to this problem. it seems like macs send out stuff that certain routers dont agree with, but thats just my thought. this should only happen wirelessly, ethernet cables should fix the problem. idk why.
i find that sending information rather than downloading causes the issue.

they don't imply a false solution, either. buying new things will not fix this issue. the problem needs to be addressed with the current hardware.
try changing the IP address range to 172.16.x.x and wireless mode to 802.11b if you can. share the results in a couple days.
