Does the 'GPS' app work on the ipod touch model a1213

Someone help me please, does the ipod touch model a1213 have gps and willit support the app? Also what software update is needed? as it says i have the latest but when i purchased the app it says it cannot be placed on the ipod as it requires a software update..... ?

it's called 'GPS' by william mcrae.
is there any way i can get this to work? as it does say compatable with ipod?

Really who would want to have their iPod used as a GPS? I can't see how reliable it would be? If you want a GPS buy a GPS unit. Garmin makes nice ones. Just my two cents.

I looked at the description of the two apps titled "GPS". One requires iOS 3.0 or later and the other iOS 3.1 or later. Per your model number you have a first generation iPod Touch. You may have only iOS 2.X since you have to pay to update to iOS 3.X and usually you have to go to a link to upgrade. You can find your iOS version by going to Settings>General>About. To get iOS 3.1 go here and try the Purchase...link. You may have to try different browsers to get the link to work correctly.

It says it is compatible with the iPod Touch running iOS 3.0

You have the first generation iPod Touch.
What version of software are you running are your iPod Touch?
2.0 ???
If so, you would need to purchase the 3.0 software update.

your ipod has no GPS unit but it can sometimes locate itself if connected to wifi.
