unity player wont work in dashboard

I can't use Widgets on the dashboard that use the Unity player plugin in. The widget quits and the error message "Dashboard client quit unexpectedly whilst using the unityplayer plugin"
Many other widgets that used to work on my old macbook now have stopped working aswell, often just showing a loading screen with no progress. They have stopped working since i got my new macbook pro 13". how can i fix this?

I'm having an identical problem, and would love to learn of a fix. I'm a professional presenter and don't want Apple error messages on screen in front of my audiences

Unity Dashboard Tips:

Some Unity Dashboard Games need an older Unity Web Plugin to work properly. The Unity 4.0+ plugin confuse the flip function on some Unity Dashboard Games… We advise you to use the latest stable Unity Web Player version for Mac OS X 10.5+/10.6+/10.7+/10.8+/10.9+ and the upcoming 10.10. You can download the previous versions of Unity right here. As always you can use the free version, or if you have a Pro license, enter in your key when prompted after installation. Please note that there is no backwards compatibility from Unity 4.0; projects made in 4.0 will not open in 3.x. However, Unity 4.0 will import and convert 3.x projects. A;so, you can find more Unity Dashboard Games, Tips or News by google for UnityWidgets.
