Then, contact itunes support.

This usually means that there is some sort of security flag or question on your account or credit card. You will, as the email said, need to contact iTunes Store support to proceed further. If no link to their contact information was provided, post back and we can give you a link.

I have the same error message. I don't think the financial info is my issue though, I can purchase other apps. I have just replaced a damaged Iphone and when I went to restore the iphone there were 7 apps unable to load. One of them was whatsapp.
I tried to repurchase which normally will tell you that it has already been a purchased app and continue downloading for free. Sadly, I get the same error message about contacting itunes about this purchase.

I'm having this exact same problem that I had with my last Apple ID. Why can't they do somthing about it. I am a very highend user that has bought over 2 dozen Apple hardware products. To be treated like this is ridiculous...

Whoever thought that an Apple ID can be "whatever" and not just a username ?

Well I have the same problem, but is not with all the apps, i'm trying to buy Whatsapp, i got the same message!

Same pb here too with What's app, and as far as I know it's the only app that causes that error msg.

ive come up with a solution... when this happens while you want to buy an app, just buy it directly from itunes (on the pc) then sync your decive, and its done!, the app that came up with that error will be automatically installed. good luck!

That app is not the only one that will give you that error message. I have tried all day to purchase some tv shows and music and cannot do so. I have not recieved any response from apple and am getting really frustrated as well. Is this a common problem with iTunes?
