i tried removing bonjour from the add/remove programs thing, it didn't work, it tells me it can't find bonjour.msi.
Unfortunately, these sorts of msi-related troubles have gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any BonJour entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
If instead you get similar trouble then with your QuickTime, run CleanUp again, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove". Quit CleanUp, restart the PC again and then try another iTunes install.
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)
This is probably too late for you but may help someone else
Had same problem and I think it may have something to do with deleting iTunes in the wrong order such that part of bonjour gets removed which prevents removing the rest of it. Anyway:- go to control panel > Add Remone Programes and highlight bonjour. Just left of centre you should see "click here for support information" underlined. click on this and a new panel will pop up, on the bottom you should see a note "If this program is not working properly you may reinstall it by clicking repair". Click repair and wait for it to reinstall. Then go back to Add or Remove progams and delete Bonjour. It worked for me.
I can not sync or download itunes due to bonjour. I go to control panel/add remove click on bonjour and it says the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavaiable. I tried to repar bonjuor than remove it still no luck. I have tried t other things to no avail. It should be a simple thing to do yet is quite frustratin to say the least. I did download a pc scan and reapair but i aint paying money to fix this issue seeing most probabally it's not my fault.
Any suggestions ppl?
