Reminders in Mail

Hello,

Today, for the first time, "REMINDERS" has appeared under mailboxes in Mail. I'm sure it appeared because I made a mistake with the new Trackpad - so easy!!

Reminders had Notes and To Do inside. I removed Notes using Mail Preferences, but To Do and Reminders remain.

I'd like to get rid of them. They take up space in a busy mailboxes list.

How do I do this? I have looked around and found no clear answer.

Many thanks,

Art

I had this problem today, in fact that is what brought me here.

Whatever I did in Mail, I couldn't delete the 'Reminders' mailbox, even though I'd cleared out everything from both Notes and To Do.

I'm pretty certain this isn't the answer you're looking for, (because I'm sure you will have done it already!), but when I'd been looking on this forum I happened to quit Mail instead of Safari, and then, when I relaunched Mail the Reminders mailbox had disappeared. 🙂

So what I think I did was quit Mail, making sure both Reminders folders were definitely empty beforehand, and then relaunch Mail.

I'm sure it must be more complicated than that though...

This thing keeps happening with me. For no discernible reason that extra item, full of my hundreds of iCal reminders, appears in the left-hand pane. I thought I had got rid of it (can't remember how) but today it came back again. It appears to have something to do with synching between iCal and Mail.

Can anyone suggest how to permanently stop it from appearing ?
