How to remove an insert?

How the **** do I do this?
If I add a plugin like EQ to a track, I can't seem to remove it.
A right click gives me viewing options.
Simply clicking the insert does nothing, and double clicking opens the insert edit window.
Making me insane.

'Click-hold' is an important way to access some menus on channel strips in Logic. Try this with the "Settings" button at the top.

A quick tip: There's no need to continue holding down the left mouse button while navigating plugin or channel strip setting pop-up menus. Try instead: Click-hold and release the left mouse after about a second... the menu still pops up but it's now easier to navigate the menu.
