.aep file to FCP!?

I purchased an AE file from videohive.com, and am trying to get it into FCP... I cannot drag and drop. I tried to export the file from After Effects, but my only options were Flash and premiere pro? The files extension is .aep.

Any ideas anyone??

Thanks!

Let me preface this by saying I am not an AE guy, I'm just learning it.

I see in my version of AE 10 (CS5 Master Collection) there are 3 options available for Export (swf, xfl, & Premier). And you can save as an XLM.

One of my students (I teach editing with FCP not AE) had an issue with exports in AE CS5. I did a little research and found that many export options were moved to Render Queue in the newest version of AE.

I couldn't find the exact link I looked at that day but this article mentions similar.

Towards the end of the article it states. "More changes include rendering and exporting such as removal of QuicktimeTime export from File>Export menu"

The OP seems to be trying to get his AE project into FCP. I thought this might help.

Am I missing something? Please do enlighten me. I'm not challenging, I'm asking.

Interesting.
In all the years I've been using AE, I've never even opened the Export options. Not once.
Real AE Men (a group that includes women) -- ummm, Real AE Men render.
