I recently figured out how to make songs into ringtones I was wondering if you could make custom ringtones and song ringtones play when you receive a text..

I wonder why you can't. will you be able to in the future?
Because it is not a feature of the iphone.
Unless Apple announces, which they very rarely do, there is no way to know what they will do in the future.
